Was born into it, started playing when i was 5 and never looked back. Growing up in Melbourne and in such a multicultural society, you are always picking up different aspects and opinions of the game.

I got into football when my son played his first game! A couple of years later I put my hand up to coach and this year I manage the team. Both my boys play and even though it's cold in the mornings, we wouldn't miss it for the world.

I inhertied the love of football from my father who is a great goalkeeper, although I dont play in goals. Ive played in school since grade 3 but didnt play at a club level untill i was 14 when I played upront for Runaway Bay Hawks and was top goalscorer.

Haha I was born in Korea and so that was kind of a second nature thing!! I love it at all levels - never played for a club or anything, but I just like to stuff around with the ball :) the feeling is so amazing!

my next door neighbour was the under 7 soccer coach and he was the dad of one of my friends and he encouraged me to come play soccer because afl was to far away and i am still playing and loving it!

well my parents came from Egypt. In Egypt, its the main sport in the country. When i was 6, i signed up for a small church soccer club in the area. Now I play for Blacktown Workers in Sydney, and last year we were undefeated but lost the grandfinals.

I signed our kids up to the school-based Club at 5 and become a committee member. 6 years later I'm still raising funds for them. I've become almost obsessed with the game and love watching our kids play, learn skills and develop confidence. Great game!

I was a huge Newcastle Knights fan when my mate talked me into going to a Newcastle Breakers game at a dodgy stadium. We beat Perth 3-2 in an awesome match! I've been in love with the world game ever since! Rugby League sucks, man. Football all the way!!

Well, when I was younger, my dad took me to the stadium, but for many years I wasn't interested in football. I began playing last year, when my college friends decided to play a match on friday's afternoons, after ending our classes.

I used to stay in my hometown which is majority Malays and they love to play football. When i was around 8 or 9, he brought me to a field for a game. What i can only remember is i had few touches but it's so pain to kick them because i wear slippers.
